The Great Whore That Sitteth Upon Many Waters
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH

Note:
It would be wise to pay close attention to verses 9, 10, and 11 of this chapter. Follow these verses into the book of Daniel where there is a description of this one world beast system on which the whore sits. It began forming all the way back in ancient Babylon, and ends with end time Babylon the great. You can study this in the book of Daniel, or if you prefer, you can watch the videos “Five Are Fallen”, parts one and two. Or if you like, you can read the articles.

So, if you prefer to read, rather than watching a video, you can usually find the article version of a post at whattheBiblereallysays.net.
As time goes on, the cost of domains and hosting varies. Because of this, the domain names change now and then. I prefer to keep the *.net versions of the websites, but I have used *.online, and *.co.education. The base names always remain the same, for example, "thelastgeneration", AND "whattheBiblereallysays".
There is one domain that should be looked at before studying at thelastgeneration or whattheBiblereallysays. That is the latter rain (latterrain), which resides at either *.net, *.co.education, or *.online. Be sure to do what latterrain says to do before studying, at least the first time.
I'm looking into using thelastgeneration.network or thelastgeneration.co.network as a base site that would always point to the current locations of the other websites. I have not linked these sites in this explanation because there is a possibility in the future that the locations of the sites may be different. Local pages, however, are linked because they are always available at the current site.

Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Revelation 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

First of all, the definition of the waters that the great whore sits upon can be understood by verse fifteen of this same chapter. It’s the people of the earth; the many nations and people and tongues (languages). The whore forms out of the people. It’s a one world globalist system government in which satan and his ten horns (fallen angels) are the leaders.
The wine of her fornication is that the people are deceived into believing that satan is GOD in the form of JESUS, and therefore fall away to satan as written in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two.
This happens because these virgins did not keep OIL in their lamps. The OIL is symbolic of THE HOLY SPIRIT, and THE HOLY SPIRIT brings us into ALL TRUTH.
Their Lamps went out, so they could not see ALL TRUTH.
They are no longer virgins at the point where they fall away to satan. They are known as the whore because they were supposed to be the bride of CHRIST, but instead they became the bride of satan. They cheated on the TRUE GROOM by worshiping satan when he shows up as antichrist (instead of CHRIST), and disguises himself as the TRUE CHRIST.
If they do not repent and ask forgiveness before JESUS returns, JESUS will say to them: Depart from ME, I never knew you. And HE will shut the door on them when it comes time for the marriage supper of the LAMB.

Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Note:
Scarlet color and gold with pearls and precious stones indicates royalty. She thinks she is the queen, but she is a whore worshiping a false king. The blasphemy is that she is filled with false doctrine and worshiping satan as though he were the returned CHRIST. And satan and his fallen angels blaspheme against GOD. How can satan blaspheme against GOD when he claims to be GOD? By claiming to be GOD.
The beast that the woman sits upon is that beast from Revelation 13:1. The fornication of the people is that they are worshiping satan in idolatry.

Revelation 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Revelation 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

This woman is a murderer, she deceives the people into worshiping satan, and this could cost them their souls. She would kill the servants of the TRUE GOD. The two witnesses being prime examples. It is satan that kills the two witnesses, but this woman is sitting on that beast that would do it. The sense in which John wondered or marveled at this woman is in the way that he was amazed by her, but the angel said there is no reason to marvel because the angel would tell John the mystery of the woman and the beast that carries her. The beast being the same beast that rises out of the sea in Revelation 13:1.

Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Note:
Perdition means to perish, and we know that there is only one named son of GOD that has already been sentenced to death, and that is satan. We know this by 2nd Thessalonians chapter two and Ezekiel 28:18 which documents his death sentence. The devil is the second beast in Revelation chapter thirteen.
The second beast is the leader of the first beast. This verse is speaking of the second beast, which is the leader of the first beast. Sometimes these beasts may be spoken of interchangeably, but usually are spoken of with reference to the second beast, which is satan.
Those who had their names written in the book of Life from the foundation of the world are the election. The election know the TRUTH, so they will not worship the devil. They know who he is.
They that dwell on the earth will wonder (admire) the beast, except the election who know the TRUTH. I believe that wonder in this verse actually means worship, and this is confirmed by Revelation 13:8 where it is written that those who are not election will worship the devil.
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Keep in mind that even though all who dwell on the earth will worship satan (except the election), that when Zerubbabel (the 144,000) hears the testimonies of GOD’S seven thousand, the election, that 144,000 will use the seven thousand (which is the stone with seven eyes) as a plummet stone to finish building The End Time Temple Of The LORD. This results in many washing their own robes in the Blood of the LAMB. This is how Zerubbabel levels the throne of kingdoms (the beast) to a plain.
Zerubbabel brings in the Cornerstone and cries Grace, grace unto it. This is when the Cornerstone fills the entire earth as a great Mountain where JESUS rules for a thousand years with a rod of iron during that great day of The LORD.
The beast:
“that was” = was in the previous age.
“and is not” = is not here now, he is in prison.
“and Yet is” = he is coming back; he will ascend out of the bottomless pit and after the Millennium will go into perdition.

Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Revelation 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Revelation 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

Note:
Mountains are symbolic of nations or kingdoms, and there are seven kings over those nations or kingdoms. What is significant is that five of the kings have already fallen. They have passed into history.
One of the seven kings is present at the time John is being shown this vision. The last of the seven kings is the devil. Prophecy in Scripture takes the perspective of Jerusalem. If we look at history and see who the kings were that have controlled the area of Jerusalem, we can make an approximation as to how close we are to the end of this age.
These kingdoms and kings are listed in the book of Daniel, and were written in Scripture at approximately 605 B.C.. It was written before the majority of these kingdoms and kings came about and also proofs out with man’s non Biblical history. If you look at these kingdoms and kings, you can see the five that are fallen proof out with history that these five listed kings have indeed fallen.
That means the king that “is” would be the current king in our time now. Both the Arabs (Muslims) and Jews claim the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem at this point in time, but it is understood that the Muslims are mainly in control. This being the case, that would mean we are currently waiting for the seventh king, which would be antichrist.
There is room for error because we do not know for sure whether the one world system counts as a king. But it is my understanding that the one world system (the beast of Revelation 13:1) tries to form but receives a deadly wound and fails. This is when the antichrist shows up and heals the wound and then the one world system rules over Jerusalem and the Dome of the Rock, as well as the entire world. So, I do believe we are at the point in time where we are waiting for antichrist to show up. If this is the case, then we are right at the door to the end.

The eighth king is of the seven and goes into perdition. It’s the devil again, and he is loosed for a little season at the end of the Millennium to test those who underwent the iron rod discipline. They must overcome satan at that time to make the second resurrection. The devil does not have his one world system beast at the end of the Millennium but according to Revelation, the number that follows him is as the sands of the sea (and he is called the eighth king, or I should say that he is the eighth king).

Revelation 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
Revelation 17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

The ten kings are fallen angels that are cast to earth along with the devil as written in Revelation chapter twelve. The devil is cast to earth for the hour of temptation, and these horns receive power “as kings” for the hour of temptation with the beast. They will mix with ten earthly kings as written in the book of Daniel.
These combined, make up the ten toes in the image of king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel chapter two. To have a clear understanding that these ten horns are fallen angels, read the article “Clay And The Ten Horns Of Iron”. The article clearly proves who these ten horns are.

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

This war cumulates at the battle of Hamongog and the battle of Armageddon. At this point in time, the flesh age will end and The LORD’S Day (the Millennium) will begin.
Remember the three evil spirits like unto frogs that go out of the mouth of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet to gather the kings of the earth and the whole world to do battle? At least by knowing this information, you will not be fighting on the wrong side against GOD.

Revelation 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

This is the verse I spoke of earlier which explains what “waters” mean in John’s vision. It’s the people of the earth, including all nations and languages. It’s the whole world in a one world system governmental beast.

Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Remember that the whore is GOD’S children worshiping satan, the devil. They were supposed to be the bride of CHRIST, but instead they became the bride of satan. They do not have a love for the TRUTH, so they fall away to satan when he comes as antichrist (“instead of” CHRIST, as written in the Greek language). They should have filled their lamps with OIL (TRUTH). THE HOLY SPIRIT gives us TRUTH. And JESUS foretold us all things in HIS WORD.
To make her desolate, means to make her like a wilderness without GOD’S WORD.
To make her naked means to strip her of every righteous act she has ever done. The TRUE bride is granted to wear fine white linen, which is the righteousness of saints. You cannot be more unrighteous than worshiping the devil.
To eat her flesh means to take away the TRUE CHRIST from her. Remember, HE is the Bread of Life. The Bread is HIS flesh.
To burn her with fire means to deceive her. GOD is a consuming FIRE. The devil and his fallen angels will disguise themselves as angels of light and perform miracles to deceive on the earth in the sight of men. They are the fake fire; impostors, disguised as CHRIST.

Revelation 17:17 For G1063 God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

And why will these fallen angels do this?

The answer is because GOD has put it in their hearts to fulfill HIS Will.

Revelation 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

The woman (the whore) is end time Babylon. Babylon G897 means confusion. GOD is not the author of confusion but of peace. It’s the whole world whoring after the devil, thinking he is CHRIST.

And the whole world will worship the devil, except the election:

But, keep in mind that when Zerubbabel (the 144,000) hears the testimony of the 7000, that Zerubbabel will finish The End Time Temple Of The LORD. This is how many come out of confusion and make the first resurrection. It's also how GOD brings down the beast system without hand as shown in the dream of king Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel, chapter two.
This concludes chapter seventeen of the book of Revelation. In chapter eighteen we will cover The Fall Of End Time Babylon The Great.
And remember, Babylon means confusion. GOD is not the author of confusion but of peace (as in common sense).
