Revelation Chapter Two

The Churches Of Revelation Chapter Two
It is the content that each church teaches that is important, not the name of the church.
The Church Of Ephesus
Ephesus means “permitted”.
Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
Revelation 2:3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

In verse 2:1, two items of equal importance are that JESUS holds the seven stars in HIS right hand (meaning these angels do HIS Work; the Right Hand is symbolic of our Work), and JESUS walks (treads or has ability) in ALL churches (seven is spiritual completeness, which means all are there who are supposed to be there).
The first of the two important things (which must be this church’s first love) is that their works that they are happy to cheerfully labor in is to flag those that say they are sent by GOD (an apostle is a sent one), which is evil to say if not true (so this church won’t take that evil). They likely do this by testing them against The WORD. A colon separates a list of items that proceeds a statement. So this church tests them that say they are sent of GOD, and they brand them as liars.
The second thing that JESUS says is that HE is happy that this church carries the load with cheerfulness for HIS purpose and have not tired out. So, this church can spot a false preacher or teacher very well.

Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Note:
This church does very well, except they left their first love, which was CHRIST, The WORD, proving out false apostles. They likely fell away to the false CHRIST because they left their first love of The WORD. They stopped testing the liars. Likely, the liars are those who say they are Jews and are not, but do lie, and are of the synagogue of satan.
2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Revelation 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Get back to Work and prove out the liars. If not, then the JESUS will show up like a thief in the night, and it will be too late for you. You won’t make the first resurrection.

Revelation 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Note:
The Nicolaitans worshiped Nicolaus, which was a form of baal worship. At least you hate the one world beast system, which is satan’s system. The irony of it is that you stopped doing your job and fell for it (or fell away in the great falling away).

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

So this church was good and was even able to spot a false preacher, but they were not able to discern the false CHRIST and got caught up into the great falling away because they stopped doing their job (their first love, which was knowing their Master’s voice).

The Church In Smyrna
Smyrna means “Myrrh”, which is a sweet smelling perfume. But it is also the name of a fig, as in the good fig. The two baskets of figs at the temple in Jerusalem at the end time, as written in the book of Jeremiah. This is related to the parable of the fig tree, which JESUS said to learn.
(Jeremiah 24:1 The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
Jeremiah 24:2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
Jeremiah 24:3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.)
Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

They Crucified HIM, but HE lives forever more.

Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

This church teaches who the tares are, which are the offspring of satan. The members of this church go through tribulation, meaning some of their members get delivered up for a testimony against satan as written in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. They must endure temptation and not give in to satan. They may be in poverty with few members, but they are rich toward GOD. This church is the election, whether they are of GOD'S seven thousand or of Zerubabel (the 144,000 of Revelation, chapter seven), because GOD said both are chosen.
GOD'S 7000, chosen before the foundation of the world:
(Ephesians 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
(Ephesians 1:4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
(Ephesians 1:5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
(Ephesians 1:6) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
(Ephesians 1:7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
(Ephesians 1:8) Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
(Ephesians 1:9) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
(Ephesians 1:10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
(Ephesians 1:11) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
(Ephesians 1:12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Zerubbabel, chosen and Sealed during the hour of temptation:
(Haggai 2:20) And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
(Haggai 2:21) Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
(Haggai 2:22) And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
(Haggai 2:23) In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
The Sealing of Zerubbabel (the 144,000):
In our Studies, we can see that the two witnesses of Revelation, Chapter eleven AND the two churches of Revelation, Chapter two and three (Smyrna AND Philadelphia) Work together for GOD. As shown in the book of Zechariah, the two Olive trees are there with Zerubbabel, who is chosen. But Zerubbabel (the 144,000) is Sealed with GOD'S Signet, THE TRUTH, AFTER the things of Revelation, Chapter six. The devil arrives as antichrist at the sixth seal in Revelation, Chapter six, therefore Zerubbabel, the 144,000 is Sealed during the hour of temptation.
(Revelation 7:1) And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
(Revelation 7:2) And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
(Revelation 7:3) Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
(Revelation 7:4) And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
In my opinion, I believe that the church of Philadelphia is GOD'S seven thousand, and the church of Smyrna is Zerubbabel, the 144,000 of Revelation, Chapter seven.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Note:
Some (but not all) of the election will be delivered up to satan for a testimony against him where THE HOLY SPIRIT Speaks through us.
(Luke 21:12) But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
(Luke 21:13) And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
(Luke 21:14) Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
(Luke 21:15) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
(Luke 21:16) And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
(Luke 21:17) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
(Luke 21:18) But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
(Luke 21:19) In your patience possess ye your souls.
But on an individual basis they can only be held a maximum of ten days. Make sure to read the Post: "Agree With Thine Adversary, Quickly" so that you do not end up causing yourself to stay in prison until the end! Be faithful before death (satan) and receive a crown of Life (everlasting Life). That means, don’t give in to satan’s temptations.

Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

This church is election, and we know this because it is the election that gets delivered up to satan for a testimony against him. It is these trials by which the Gospel gets published among all nations. When the election gets delivered up for a testimony against satan, anyone who hears the testimony of the election as THE HOLY SPIRIT Speaks through the election will hear it in their own language as written in the Gospels, the book of Acts, and the book of Joel.
The tares are the fake jews that are mixed in with the true Jews at the end time as written in the book of Jeremiah (the good and bad figs). This is one of the two churches out of seven that JESUS is happy with.

The Church In Pergamos
Pergamos means heights, or high place, fortified, like a tower.
Revelation 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

The TRUTH cuts deep in both directions. THE TWO-EDGED SWORD Is THE WORD Of GOD, which comes out of JESUS’ Mouth!
Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas G493 was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

JESUS keeps telling these churches: “I know thy works”. JESUS expects fruit. See The Parable Of The Talents. And don’t forget that faith without works is dead.
The devil will claim to be GOD and sit in the temple in Jerusalem as written in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two. The word seat means “throne”, so satan will set his throne up at Jerusalem.
“Antipas” means anti father. So, since this is a martyr for JESUS then this must mean anti fake father. Antipas must have been against the devil claiming to be GOD. It’s likely that the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah, but no one knows the identity of Antipas. Since Enoch was translated, as well as Moses and Elijah, I’m suspicious that this may be Enoch. This has not happened yet, so I think it’s possible that since the deadly wound gets poured out on the seat (throne) of the beast before satan arrives that this may be Antipas’ purpose.

Just as “anti” in the Greek means “instead of”, as in antichirst (instead of CHRIST), so Antipas means anti father or “instead of” FATHER. This makes Antipas mean “instead of” FATHER, and since Antipas is a martyr for JESUS, it must mean that Antipas is against the fake father.

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

Note:
Balaam was a priest. Balaam liked to please GOD, but he had a major flaw. He loved money.
He stood up strong as a priest, and Balac, the king of Moab wanted Balaam to make a prophecy concerning Israel, to curse Israel.
They were the enemies of Israel, and GOD finally said that Balaam could go talk to Balac, but that Balaam should speak to Balac GOD’S WORDS, not Balaam’s words.
So, Balaam got up early and saddled his donkey and was heading out to talk to Balac, but Balaam was thinking in terms of getting money from Balac because Balac had said he would reward Balaam greatly. All Balaam was thinking about as he hurried was money and GOD became very furious with him.
So, GOD sent an angel in the path that Balaam was taking to smite Balaam with the Sword. But Balaam was concentrating on money and didn’t notice the angel. So the angel caused the ass to talk, and that got Balaam’s attention.
There is an end time prophecy at the end of that story. It involves the ships of Chittim, which are the election. It’s an interesting story that we should cover sometime, or you can read about it in Numbers 22 through 24 . The point is that GOD does not like a church that only thinks about money.

Revelation 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

The doctrine of the Nicolaitans is to worship other things, which GOD does not like.

Revelation 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

Note:
JESUS will fight against this church with the two edged Sword of TRUTH, which is the WORD of GOD if they don’t repent.
]
Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone G5586, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Note:
The hidden manna is the hidden TRUTH of GOD’S WORD. The mysteries. The white stone means election.

It’s the same usage as in Revelation 13:18, where it says to “count” the number of the beast. The meaning is to study over a long period of time to KNOW THE TRUTH! By doing so, you can increase your wisdom to identify the beast.
The white stone is the stone that is held in the hand of Zerubbabel that he uses as a plummet stone. A plummet stone is used in construction to keep a line straight in the building of a structure. In this case, The End Time Temple Of The LORD.
Zerubbabel uses that stone to keep the line on TRUTH straight. It’s the stone with seven eyes (all knowing). It’s the stone that brings down the end time one world globalist beast system. It means the election.

The Church In Thyatira
Thyatira means “sacrifice of labor; odor of affliction”.
Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Note:
The eyes mirror the soul, and HIS eyes are THE HOLY SPIRIT, The Shekinah Glory. In Daniel chapter two, the beast system that is described has feet mixed with iron and clay. That’s supernatural mixed with natural, and it will not gel (stick together). It is brittle and will crumble to the ground. JESUS feet are made of fine Brass. HIS feet won’t break, and HE intends to do some treading down with those feet.

Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Note:
This church has some good qualities so far. And the Works of this church are more at the end than when the church first started. That is why it lists the Works twice, once at the start and once at the end of the verse or statement. The last Works are greater than the first Works.

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Note:
This Jezebel spoken of here is not the Jezebel in the book of Kings. This Jezebel is the great white whore. The woman that rides the scarlet beast of Revelation 13 and Revelation 17. It's the devil's one world government and GOD'S children are deceived into joining it because they did not accept the love of THE TRUTH!
All idol worship is a type of satan worship. And this church is deceived into falling away to antichrist. They are like the five virgins; they did not keep their lamps filled with OIL. False teaching in this church will cause many people to be misled. Regarding the fornication, see the post “Idolatry”:

Revelation 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The bed that GOD will cast this church into is the bed with satan. They will believe the devil’s lies unless they repent of their false teachings.

Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Note:
Those that follow this church’s false teachings will die by satan’s deception. GOD knows your inner spirit. If you are good, you will get good. But if you are bad, you will receive bad. Do you teach falsely or do you teach GOD’S TRUTH? If you teach falsely, your Works are bad. You are not saved by your Works, but the clothes you receive in Heaven are determined by your Works. If your Works are bad, you will be naked in Heaven. The following post explains about our clothes that we wear in Heaven. It's called Naked Shame.

Revelation 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

But as many as are in this church that do not teach falsely and do not fall away to satan, GOD will not hold you responsible for the bad of this church.

Revelation 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Note:
Hold on to the TRUTH until JESUS returns, and don’t give in to satan’s temptations.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Note:
Those who keep the TRUTH and overcome satan’s temptation will rule with JESUS in the Millennium. They will rule with a Rod of Iron (discipline) and break those people who take the mark of the beast down to shivers (the smallest possible pieces) and try to rebuild them from scratch. When you break a clay pot, some of the pieces are so thin that you cannot put them back together. But JESUS can put them back together. Those who rule with JESUS for the thousand years are the election.

Revelation 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.

Note:
JESUS is our bright and morning star. Morning star signifies early light and is symbolic of TRUTH. JESUS will give them the TRUTH.
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Revelation 2:29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Who has eyes to see and ears to hear? The election.
We have covered who the election are before, but if you have not absorbed that information or need more help on it, let me know. It is extremely important! And as far as this church of Thyatira goes, this is not a church you want to be in. Even though there may be election there, the majority of people in this church are going to be deceived.

This concludes chapter two of the book of Revelation. So far, we have only one church that JESUS is happy with and that church is Smyrna.
There will be one more church of the seven that JESUS is happy with, so be sure to be in one of those two churches of the end time. We will continue with the churches in chapter three.

Jeremiah 24:2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

Revelation 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

This church teaches who the tares are, which are the offspring of satan. The members of this church go through tribulation, meaning some of their members get delivered up for a testimony against satan as written in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. They must endure temptation and not give in to satan. They may be in poverty with few members, but they are rich toward GOD. This church is the election, whether they are of GOD'S seven thousand or of Zerubabel (the 144,000 of Revelation, chapter seven), because GOD said both are chosen.
GOD'S 7000, chosen before the foundation of the world:
(Ephesians 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
(Ephesians 1:4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
(Ephesians 1:5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
(Ephesians 1:6) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
(Ephesians 1:7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
(Ephesians 1:8) Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
(Ephesians 1:9) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
(Ephesians 1:10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
(Ephesians 1:11) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
(Ephesians 1:12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Zerubbabel, chosen and Sealed during the hour of temptation:
(Haggai 2:20) And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
(Haggai 2:21) Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
(Haggai 2:22) And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
(Haggai 2:23) In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
The Sealing of Zerubbabel (the 144,000):
In our Studies, we can see that the two witnesses of Revelation, Chapter eleven AND the two churches of Revelation, Chapter two and three (Smyrna AND Philadelphia) Work together for GOD. As shown in the book of Zechariah, the two Olive trees are there with Zerubbabel, who is chosen. But Zerubbabel (the 144,000) is Sealed with GOD'S Signet, THE TRUTH, AFTER the things of Revelation, Chapter six. The devil arrives as antichrist at the sixth seal in Revelation, Chapter six, therefore Zerubbabel, the 144,000 is Sealed during the hour of temptation.
(Revelation 7:1) And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
(Revelation 7:2) And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
(Revelation 7:3) Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
(Revelation 7:4) And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
In my opinion, I believe that the church of Philadelphia is GOD'S seven thousand, and the church of Smyrna is Zerubbabel, the 144,000 of Revelation, Chapter seven.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Some (but not all) of the election will be delivered up to satan for a testimony against him where THE HOLY SPIRIT Speaks through us.
(Luke 21:12) But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
(Luke 21:13) And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
(Luke 21:14) Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
(Luke 21:15) For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
(Luke 21:16) And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
(Luke 21:17) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
(Luke 21:18) But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
(Luke 21:19) In your patience possess ye your souls.
But on an individual basis they can only be held a maximum of ten days. Make sure to read the Post: "Agree With Thine Adversary, Quickly" so that you do not end up causing yourself to stay in prison until the end! Be faithful before death (satan) and receive a crown of Life (everlasting Life). That means, don’t give in to satan’s temptations.

Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

This church is election, and we know this because it is the election that gets delivered up to satan for a testimony against him. It is these trials by which the Gospel gets published among all nations. When the election gets delivered up for a testimony against satan, anyone who hears the testimony of the election as THE HOLY SPIRIT Speaks through the election will hear it in their own language as written in the Gospels, the book of Acts, and the book of Joel.
The tares are the fake jews that are mixed in with the true Jews at the end time as written in the book of Jeremiah (the good and bad figs). This is one of the two churches out of seven that JESUS is happy with.

The Church In Pergamos
Pergamos means heights, or high place, fortified, like a tower.
Revelation 2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

The TRUTH cuts deep in both directions. THE TWO-EDGED SWORD Is THE WORD Of GOD, which comes out of JESUS’ Mouth!
Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas G493 was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

JESUS keeps telling these churches: “I know thy works”. JESUS expects fruit. See The Parable Of The Talents. And don’t forget that faith without works is dead.
The devil will claim to be GOD and sit in the temple in Jerusalem as written in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two. The word seat means “throne”, so satan will set his throne up at Jerusalem.
“Antipas” means anti father. So, since this is a martyr for JESUS then this must mean anti fake father. Antipas must have been against the devil claiming to be GOD. It’s likely that the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah, but no one knows the identity of Antipas. Since Enoch was translated, as well as Moses and Elijah, I’m suspicious that this may be Enoch. This has not happened yet, so I think it’s possible that since the deadly wound gets poured out on the seat (throne) of the beast before satan arrives that this may be Antipas’ purpose.

Just as “anti” in the Greek means “instead of”, as in antichirst (instead of CHRIST), so Antipas means anti father or “instead of” FATHER. This makes Antipas mean “instead of” FATHER, and since Antipas is a martyr for JESUS, it must mean that Antipas is against the fake father.

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

Balaam was a priest. Balaam liked to please GOD, but he had a major flaw. He loved money.
He stood up strong as a priest, and Balac, the king of Moab wanted Balaam to make a prophecy concerning Israel, to curse Israel.
They were the enemies of Israel, and GOD finally said that Balaam could go talk to Balac, but that Balaam should speak to Balac GOD’S WORDS, not Balaam’s words.
So, Balaam got up early and saddled his donkey and was heading out to talk to Balac, but Balaam was thinking in terms of getting money from Balac because Balac had said he would reward Balaam greatly. All Balaam was thinking about as he hurried was money and GOD became very furious with him.
So, GOD sent an angel in the path that Balaam was taking to smite Balaam with the Sword. But Balaam was concentrating on money and didn’t notice the angel. So the angel caused the ass to talk, and that got Balaam’s attention.
There is an end time prophecy at the end of that story. It involves the ships of Chittim, which are the election. It’s an interesting story that we should cover sometime, or you can read about it in Numbers 22 through 24 . The point is that GOD does not like a church that only thinks about money.

Revelation 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

The doctrine of the Nicolaitans is to worship other things, which GOD does not like.

Revelation 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

JESUS will fight against this church with the two edged Sword of TRUTH, which is the WORD of GOD if they don’t repent.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone G5586, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

The hidden manna is the hidden TRUTH of GOD’S WORD. The mysteries. The white stone means election.

It’s the same usage as in Revelation 13:18, where it says to “count” the number of the beast. The meaning is to study over a long period of time to KNOW THE TRUTH! By doing so, you can increase your wisdom to identify the beast.
The white stone is the stone that is held in the hand of Zerubbabel that he uses as a plummet stone. A plummet stone is used in construction to keep a line straight in the building of a structure. In this case, The End Time Temple Of The LORD.
Zerubbabel uses that stone to keep the line on TRUTH straight. It’s the stone with seven eyes (all knowing). It’s the stone that brings down the end time one world globalist beast system. It means the election.

The Church In Thyatira
Thyatira means “sacrifice of labor; odor of affliction”.
Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

The eyes mirror the soul, and HIS eyes are THE HOLY SPIRIT, The Shekinah Glory. In Daniel chapter two, the beast system that is described has feet mixed with iron and clay. That’s supernatural mixed with natural, and it will not gel (stick together). It is brittle and will crumble to the ground. JESUS feet are made of fine Brass. HIS feet won’t break, and HE intends to do some treading down with those feet.

Revelation 2:19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

This church has some good qualities so far. And the Works of this church are more at the end than when the church first started. That is why it lists the Works twice, once at the start and once at the end of the verse or statement. The last Works are greater than the first Works.

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

This Jezebel spoken of here is not the Jezebel in the book of Kings. This Jezebel is the great white whore. The woman that rides the scarlet beast of Revelation 13 and Revelation 17. It's the devil's one world government and GOD'S children are deceived into joining it because they did not accept the love of THE TRUTH!
All idol worship is a type of satan worship. And this church is deceived into falling away to antichrist. They are like the five virgins; they did not keep their lamps filled with OIL. False teaching in this church will cause many people to be misled. Regarding the fornication, see the post “Idolatry”:

Revelation 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

The bed that GOD will cast this church into is the bed with satan. They will believe the devil’s lies unless they repent of their false teachings.

Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Those that follow this church’s false teachings will die by satan’s deception. GOD knows your inner spirit. If you are good, you will get good. But if you are bad, you will receive bad. Do you teach falsely or do you teach GOD’S TRUTH? If you teach falsely, your Works are bad. You are not saved by your Works, but the clothes you receive in Heaven are determined by your Works. Revelation 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

But as many as are in this church that do not teach falsely and do not fall away to satan, GOD will not hold you responsible for the bad of this church.

Revelation 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Hold on to the TRUTH until JESUS returns, and don’t give in to satan’s temptations.

Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Those who keep the TRUTH and overcome satan’s temptation will rule with JESUS in the Millennium. They will rule with a Rod of Iron (discipline) and break those people who take the mark of the beast down to shivers (the smallest possible pieces) and try to rebuild them from scratch. When you break a clay pot, some of the pieces are so thin that you cannot put them back together. But JESUS can put them back together. Those who rule with JESUS for the thousand years are the election.

Revelation 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.

JESUS is our bright and morning star. Morning star signifies early light and is symbolic of TRUTH. JESUS will give them the TRUTH.

Who has eyes to see and ears to hear? The election.

And as far as this church of Thyatira goes, this is not a church you want to be in. Even though there may be election there, the majority of people in this church are going to be deceived.

This concludes chapter two of the book of Revelation. So far, we have only one church that JESUS is happy with and that church is Smyrna.
There will be one more church of the seven that JESUS is happy with, so be sure to be in one of those two churches of the end time. We will continue with the churches in chapter three.
