easter? Passover? Know what you are doing!
If I came to your house and wanted to do yoga in honor of JESUS, would you let me?
If I made a street parade with dragons in honor of JESUS, would you join?
Well, if you are painting eggs and dressing up or joyfully cheering on the easter bunny in honor of JESUS, then you are using eggs which are a symbol of fertility and you are using the easter bunny for quick like a rabbit in honor of JESUS.
Historical evidence, modern myths, and legends state that is the way you honor ishtar the sex goddess also. Legend says that the word "easter" comes from ishtar the sex goddess. And the items of decoration and the traditions of eggs and rabbits are idol worship traditions of ishtar. There are prechristian rituals that were blended into Christianity for the purpose of attracting people into Christianity which are not supported by the Biblical Scriptures. Be careful how you celebrate.
TRUTH, love, and "Walking In The SPIRIT" is what Christianity is all about.
Celebrate passover. JESUS became our Passover, our High Sabbath. What does Sabbath mean? It means rest. On the seventh day, GOD rested from all of HIS Works. But when GOD came to the flesh to save HIS children, HE became our rest. We rest in HIM for HE paid for our sins and redeemed us back to HIM.
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Let go of sin and malice and project the love of ALMIGHTY GOD and Brotherly Love. This is what it means to Walk In The SPIRIT. Walk in THE SPIRIT of GOD. Leaven is symbolic of sin, so purge out the sin and live in the Pure righteousness of ALMIGHTY GOD because HE sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to pay for our sins and allow us to make it back to HIM. We must accept GOD'S Sacrifice and live in the way of GOD through HIS SON, WHO died for us so that we "COULD" make it back to HIM and live for Eternity.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
(John 3:17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(John 3:18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(John 3:19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
(John 3:20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
(John 3:21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
And, what does it mean to Walk In The SPIRIT?
(Matthew 22:34) But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
(Matthew 22:35) Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
(Matthew 22:36) Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
(Matthew 22:37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(Matthew 22:38) This is the first and great commandment.
(Matthew 22:39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
(Matthew 22:40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
The BREAD is the Bread of LIFE. It is PURE, unleavened with sin and malice. TRUTH in what it takes to make it back to ALMIGHTY GOD and live forever. GOD is Love, and HE will NOT allow evil in HIS Kingdom. Most people on the earth today have free will. Use that free will to choose, CHOOSE the Path of Righteousness because narrow is the gate that leads to LIFE, and BROAD is the way that leads to destruction, the destruction of your soul.
(Matthew 7:12) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
(Matthew 7:13) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
(Matthew 7:14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
