Types
Just as Jonah was a type of CHRIST when he was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights and king Nebuchadnezzar was a type of antichrist when he ruled ancient Babylon, the Bible is full of types and models that FATHER uses to teach HIS election. All of these things happened as examples for our attention upon whom the end of the age has come.
(Ecclesiastes 1:9) The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
(1 Corinthians 10:1) Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
[
Note:
The context is all of our fathers. That means what is about to be said relates to everything that has happened all the way back to that time.
]
(1 Corinthians 10:2) And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
(1 Corinthians 10:3) And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
(1 Corinthians 10:4) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
[
Note:
We also eat of that same Spiritual meat and drink of that same Spiritual drink. This Spiritual sustenance is TRUTH, and FATHER has a way of presenting HIS TRUTH to HIS children who are predestined to know the mystery of HIS will.
(Ephesians 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
(Ephesians 1:4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
(Ephesians 1:5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
(Ephesians 1:6) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
(Ephesians 1:7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
(Ephesians 1:8) Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
(Ephesians 1:9) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
(Ephesians 1:10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
(Ephesians 1:11) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
(Ephesians 1:12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
]
(1 Corinthians 10:5) But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
(1 Corinthians 10:6) Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
[
Note:
Those that seek after the lusts of this world are seeking after satan. All idol worship is a type of satan worship. Seek after the things of GOD, for idolaters have no TRUTH in them. The devil was a liar from the beginning and the father of it.
]
(1 Corinthians 10:7) Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
[
Note:
(Exodus 32:6) And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
(Exodus 32:7) And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
(Exodus 32:8) They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
(Exodus 32:9) And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
(Exodus 32:10) Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
(Exodus 32:11) And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?
(Exodus 32:12) Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.
(Exodus 32:13) Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.
(Exodus 32:14) And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
(Exodus 32:15) And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
(Exodus 32:16) And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.
(Exodus 32:17) And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.
(Exodus 32:18) And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.
(Exodus 32:19) And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.
(Exodus 32:20) And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.
(Exodus 32:21) And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?
(Exodus 32:22) And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.
(Exodus 32:23) For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
(Exodus 32:24) And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.
(Exodus 32:25) And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)
(Exodus 32:26) Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
Note: Moses was on the mount for forty days and forty nights, and even after witnessing such miracles of GOD as the parting of the Red Sea and the destruction of Pharaoh’s army for their protection, forty days and forty nights was all it took for the people to lose faith and trust and seek after other gods. So, we can see that this is what the people did when they rose up to play. They go straight out to worship the devil when they are put under probation, fourty being the number of probation. When it seems that things are not going as you expect, don't give in to idolatry and evil things and go after the gods of this world.
]
(1 Corinthians 10:8) Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
[
Note:
(Numbers 25:1) And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
(Numbers 25:2) And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
(Numbers 25:3) And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
(Numbers 25:4) And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
(Numbers 25:5) And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
(Numbers 25:6) And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
(Numbers 25:7) And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
(Numbers 25:8) And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
(Numbers 25:9) And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
Note: The discrepancy between the number that died in Numbers 25:9 and 1 Corinthians 10:8 is likely due to Numbers 25:9 being taken from the Leningrad manuscript, which was written around 1100 A.D., whereas Paul was likely getting this number from the earlier manuscript that was written about a thousand years before the Leningrad manuscript.
]
(1 Corinthians 10:9) Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
[
Note:
(Numbers 21:4) And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
(Numbers 21:5) And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
(Numbers 21:6) And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
(Numbers 21:7) Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
(Numbers 21:8) And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
(Numbers 21:9) And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
Note: It is my opinion that looking upon the serpent on the brass pole was an indication that the person realized that the ways of the serpent means death. And seeing that serpent on the pole meant that old serpent the devil was a dead man walking and the person seeing it was realizing that. Did it take faith for the person that was dying of the snake bite to look upon the Serpent on the pole in order to be healed? I think so. The Serpent on the pole was symbolic of CHRIST dying for the sins of all. Look to CHRIST for forgiveness and know that HE died for the sins of many.
(John 3:14) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
(John 3:15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
]
(1 Corinthians 10:10) Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
[
Note:
This is Passover. For those that put the blood of the lamb on the door post of their dwelling and believed, the death angel passed over their dwelling and their first born did not die. CHRIST became our Passover. Today, when we partake of the Table of the LORD, GOD knows who we are, and the death angel must passover us and our house because it is the mark of our people. Many people died that night, but most of them were saved because they trusted in GOD and put the blood of the lamb on their door post.
This verse refers to a warning from Paul to the Corinthians not to repeat the sins of the Israelites, particularly their complaining and rebellion against God in the wilderness after the Exodus. The "murmuring" mentioned here recalls several instances where the Israelites grumbled against God, which led to judgment, such as in Numbers 14 and Numbers 16.
While this verse is not directly related to the Passover event itself, it does connect to the broader context of Israel's journey after their deliverance from Egypt, which began with the Passover. In the context of 1 Corinthians 10, Paul is drawing a parallel between the experiences of the Israelites and the spiritual journey of the Corinthians.
Earlier in 1 Corinthians 10, Paul speaks of the Israelites passing through the Red Sea and being sustained by "spiritual food" (which alludes to the manna) and "spiritual drink" (which refers to water from the rock). He warns them not to fall into the same temptations and sins as the Israelites, whose journey began with their deliverance from Egypt at Passover.
Though the specific reference in 1 Corinthians 10:10 speaks to the Israelites' complaints and rebellion, Passover sets the stage for their deliverance and subsequent wilderness journey. Therefore, the verse could be understood in the broader sense of Paul's warning against taking for granted God's deliverance and falling into sin, just as the Israelites did after Passover.
In summary, 1 Corinthians 10:10 is not directly about Passover, but it is part of Paul's broader teaching that draws from the experiences of the Israelites, which began with their deliverance during Passover, and serves as a cautionary example for the early Christian community.

(1 Corinthians 10:11) Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: G5179 and they are written for our admonition, G3559 upon whom the ends of the world G165 are come.
G5179
τύπος
tupos
too' pos
From G5180; a die (as struck), that is, (by implication) a stamp or scar; by analogy a shape, that is, a statue, (figuratively) style or resemblance; specifically a sampler (“type”), that is, a model (for imitation) or instance (for warning): en (ex) ample, fashion, figure, form, manner, pattern, print.
G3559
νουθεσία
nouthesia
noo thes ee' ah
From G3563 and a derivative of G5087; calling attention to, that is, (by implication) mild rebuke or warning: admonition.
G165
αἰών
aiōn
ahee ohn'
From the same as G104; properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): age, course, eternal, (for) ever (more), [n]ever, (beginning of the, while the) world (began, without end). Compare G5550.
[
Note:
All of these things happened for types and examples for us at the end of the age so that we would know exactly how it is going to happen at this end time. By knowing the types and models, we can know the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD so that we cannot be deceived into following antichrist, the idol of all idols. So, know the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD and learn how to understand the types and models.
And remember that GOD said:
(Romans 11:2) God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
(Romans 11:3) Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.
(Romans 11:4) But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Note: Some people believe that seven thousand is a literal number. I don’t believe it is a literal number because in Biblical Numerics, seven thousand means Zadok and Final Judgment. The Zadok are the justified ones, meaning the election. Also note that baal is an idol that is a type of the one world beast system of which satan is the leader. So, not worshiping baal means not worshiping satan or his evil beast one world system.
(Romans 11:5) Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Note: A remnant is a leftover. So, at the time of Paul’s writing also, there are those that are leftover that had not worshiped baal, just as there were back at Elijah’s time. Elias is the Greek name for Elijah. The remnant carries the TRUTH down through the ages until it reaches the election whose destiny it is to stand against satan when the election is delivered up for a testimony against satan.
(Romans 11:6) And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Note: Verse Romans 11:6 means it is ordained of GOD.
(Romans 11:7) What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
Note: The election has obtained not worshiping satan. That means the election has already overcome satan and are already justified.
Because the election overcame satan, the election has eyes to see and ears to hear.
As it says, Israel did not obtain overcoming satan and were blinded. This also means that those of us who understand GOD’S WORD are not blinded and have eyes to see and ears to hear, and since we have eyes to see and ears to hear, we must be of the election, also known as GOD’S seven thousand.
(Romans 11:8) (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
Note: As THE WORD states, those that have not already overcome satan are blinded and are not of the election.
If you are understanding these things, that is reason to celebrate because it means you have eyes to see and ears to hear. And if you have eyes to see and ears to hear, it means you are already justified. You already overcame satan and are of the election. So, start learning these types and models and know the TRUTH. You have a destiny to fulfill.
And what did JESUS say?
(Luke 8:10) And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
Note: And the rest were blinded.

Dear FATHER, Thank THEE for Blessing our Study of THY WORD. In JESUS' NAME, Amen!
