Can you tell the difference between your soul and your spirit?

Think of your soul as yourself. It's what makes you, "You".

So when you hold up your hand and watch yourself make a fist and think to yourself that 'I'm me', that is your soul. When someone calls you by name and you realize that it's 'You' that they are talking too, that 'You' is your soul.

Your spirit is the intellect of your soul. Your spirit can train your flesh and your flesh can train your spirit.
If a person listens to sad music all the time, they are training their spirit to be a sad spirit. If a person has strong will and forces themselves to maintain healthy habits, that's their spirit training their flesh. The flesh is not the soul, the flesh contains the soul and spirit.

If a person is mean, they are mean spirited. If a person drinks a bottle of spirits (wine), their personality changes. Their personality is their spirit.

It's like a block of rubber. The rubber is the soul and how flexible it is would be the spirit.

At the end of this age when JESUS returns, we will all be changed from these flesh bodies into a perfect body that is incorruptible in the twinkling of an eye. It is called a spirit (or spiritual) body, but it holds the soul and spirit just like these flesh bodies hold the soul and spirit now.

The Resurrection Body

(1 Corinthians 15:35)  But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
(1 Corinthians 15:36)  Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
(1 Corinthians 15:37)  And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
(1 Corinthians 15:38)  But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
(1 Corinthians 15:39)  All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
(1 Corinthians 15:40)  There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
(1 Corinthians 15:41)  There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
(1 Corinthians 15:42)  So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
(1 Corinthians 15:43)  It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
(1 Corinthians 15:44)  It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
(1 Corinthians 15:45)  And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
(1 Corinthians 15:46)  Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

[
Note:
Verse 1st Corinthians 15:46 is with reference to this earth age, the age of flesh. It is not with reference to the previous age where we were all in spirit (or spiritual) bodies. The point is, that within these flesh bodies is our spirit body, and what we plant here determines what will grow. What is our soul and spirit wearing now? It is wearing a flesh body. This flesh body is what carts us around on this earth during this second age. When this flesh body dies, we rise out of it with a body that pleases our FATHER in Heaven. What can we take with us into the Millennium and into the Eternity? The only thing that we can take with us when we leave this flesh age is our righteous acts. It's the clothing that we wear in Heaven. And don't forget, the glory of one will be different than the glory of another, just as one star differs from another star in glory.

(Revelation 19:6)  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
(Revelation 19:7)  Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
(Revelation 19:8)  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

[
Note:
"for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints" - What is righteousness? Righteousness means to do what is right. Learn what it means to Walk In THE SPIRIT. If you spend your whole life wasting away and following the mainstream, who knows what you may end up wearing in Heaven, if you are wearing anything at all. Many won't even make it to Eternity. Learn what happens, and learn the reason we are here as humans in the first place. Many came out of the womb already fit for destruction, and people will be raising their hand to one another when we are changed into our spirit bodies. But blaming another person because they didn't make it won't do them any good. They will still be weeping and gnashing their teeth in outer darkness. This flesh age is all about choice, and what you need to know has likely been right in front of you since you were born. What does it take to get you to pick it up and read it? I don't mean to sound harsh, it's just that I really don't want anyone to be cast into the lake of FIRE, or even have to go through the iron rod discipline where they will be weeping and gnashing their teeth in outer darkness. There is no Grace there, it's ALL Works! And they don't call it Works because it is easy.
]

(Revelation 19:9)  And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
(Revelation 19:10)  And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
]

(1 Corinthians 15:47)  The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
(1 Corinthians 15:48)  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
(1 Corinthians 15:49)  And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

The Resurrection

(1 Corinthians 15:50)  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
(1 Corinthians 15:51)  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
(1 Corinthians 15:52)  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

[
Note:
At the end of the flesh part of this age, we will ALL be changed into our spirit (or spiritual) bodies. This is a body that pleases THE LORD. GOD is fair. What you get is what you deserve. Again, one will be different from another in glory. JESUS returns at the seventh trump. That is the farthest trump out, also known at the last trump or The Trump Of GOD. Many churches and people believe that they will be raptured out of here before the great tribulation, but that is not the case. Scripture does not support this belief. Just as people have been taught by the deceivers and donation hunters that they can pull out their JESUS Card, they also teach that people won't have to be here during what is the most important part of this age. The most important part of this age is when the devil is here disguised as JESUS. The devil will deceive the whole world into worshiping him by using miracles. GOD has made it so that HIS WORD is here for us, and HE teaches those who seek HIM with a True heart. But if you won't read it for yourself or learn to study it properly, how much of a True heart do you really have?
]

(1 Corinthians 15:53)  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

[
Note:
The spirit (or spiritual) body is incorruptible. That means a lot. It's the same as an angel's body. I could go into a long discussion on what this means, but you can study GOD'S WORD and learn these things. Suffice it to say that a spirit body does not age, does not get sick, is very powerful, and only GOD can hurt a spirit body.

What is important here is to know that we are ALL raised in a spirit body, but only some are immortal. As it says above, we must put on incorruption AND immortality. If you do not put on immortality before the end of the age, you will be cast into the lake of FIRE. Study what that means, because if you don't put on immortality, you will be turned to ashes from the inside out. Now, what is important? It's that we Walk In THE SPIRIT! It's what we should have been doing since the beginning. We are here so that we can change our spirit. The test is to find out if we will love GOD or satan. If you have studied properly, you know what that is all about, already. If not, I invite you to Study with me and others. Ask GOD what direction you should go. If you are reading this, then you have been told how important it is. There will be a time when it is too late, and according to the signs that I see, that time comes sooner than later. Don't wake up and rush to go to them that sell to buy OIL for your lamp. Fill your lamp with OIL now! JESUS says that by the time you come back that the door will have already been slammed shut on you. And when you knock, HE will tell you to depart from HIM, that HE never knew you.
]

(1 Corinthians 15:54)  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
(1 Corinthians 15:55)  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
(1 Corinthians 15:56)  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
(1 Corinthians 15:57)  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:58)  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

[
Note:
"
(1 Corinthians 15:54)  So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."

What does it say? It says "AND"! ALL will put on incorruption. But you MUST find out what it means to become immortal. How? "Walking In THE SPIRIT" is how. And how can you do that? By GOD'S SPIRIT! THAT, is the SPIRIT that you walk in. Be conformed to CHRIST! AND you won't be raising your hand to your neighbor and blaming him because you did not make it!

(John 3:16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(Romans 8:29)  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

(Zechariah 14:12)  And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
(Zechariah 14:13)  And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

Walking In The SPIRIT

If you take a look at the verses below, you will see our relationship with the law. You will also see what it means to walk in the Spirit.

(Matthew 22:34)  But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.
(Matthew 22:35)  Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
(Matthew 22:36)  Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
(Matthew 22:37)  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
(Matthew 22:38)  This is the first and great commandment.
(Matthew 22:39)  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
(Matthew 22:40)  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The entire Bible is composed of those two commandments. If we love FATHER with our whole being, we would never worship an idol. The devil is the ultimate idol. If we love our neighbor as ourselves, we would never hurt our neighbor. If we would never worship an idol, and we would never hurt our neighbor, we have no need for the law. So, what is the fruit of the Spirit? It is love. And if we really have faith in GOD, then we would keep those two commandments.

The law then just becomes our school master. It's the reference by which we know whether we do good or we do bad.

The Law is always with us. The Law has not been done away with, it has been fulfilled in JESUS. Not one jot or tittle will pass from it. When we sin, we fall back under the Law, so we need to repent fast and get back to walking in the Spirit.

JESUS paid the price for our sins, so if we sin, we repent and our sin falls under the Blood of The LAMB and we are forgiven. The point is that if we don't sin, then we don't need the Law. We also have to be realistic. We are in the flesh and there is no such thing as not sinning when we are in the flesh (except for JESUS, WHO is our example). So, walk in the Spirit, and if you sin, repent and get back to walking in the Spirit because any sin that is not repented of is not covered by The Blood Of The LAMB.

Just a Thought:

Sometimes I say things boldly, you know, I say it like it is... Well, it is a warning, but today's society doesn't like people who speak things like they are. Just like with other Posts, I'll likely go back and remove the harsh talk. But sometimes I get in "worry mode" and think I have to say things in a "tough love" type of speaking. I try not to do that, but if I don't, and then you don't take it seriously, what am I going to say to you when that time comes, you know, the time when you are weeping and gnashing your teeth? Am I going to say: I didn't want to hurt your feelings? If I get enough complaints, I'll fix it.
