Where Are The Dead? soul sleep is FALSE DOCTRINE

Ecclesiastes, in English means “The Preacher”.
Written by Solomon, king in Jerusalem.
Written to the man under the sun.
Man under the sun means man in a flesh body.

Ecclesiastes is the User Manual for the Human Body.

Matthew 22:23  The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

Matthew 22:24  Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

Matthew 22:25  Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

Matthew 22:26  Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

Matthew 22:27  And last of all the woman died also.

Matthew 22:28  Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

Matthew 22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

[
Note: JESUS is telling the Sadducees that they do not know the Scriptures in order to ask HIM such a question. The Scriptures that they do not know is the book of Ecclesiastes.
]

Matthew 22:30  For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Matthew 22:31  But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

Matthew 22:32  I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

[
Note: Verse Matthew 22:32 says that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are not dead.
]

Matthew 22:33  And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

1 Thessalonians 4:13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

1 Thessalonians 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1 Thessalonians 4:15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent G5348 them which are asleep.

G5348
φθάνω
phthanō
fthan' o
Apparently a primary verb; to be beforehand, that is, anticipate or precede; by extension to have arrived at:   (already) attain, come, prevent.

[
Note: Verse 1 Thessalonians 4:15 says that we who are alive (in the flesh) cannot precede them that have passed on. They are already with JESUS. As far as they who have passed on, there is no reason to sorrow. They are with GOD, and HE will bring them with HIM.
]

Ecclesiastes 9:1  For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them.

Ecclesiastes 9:2  All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

Ecclesiastes 9:3  This is an evil H7451 among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

H7451
רָעָה    רַע
ra‛    râ‛âh
rah, raw aw'
From H7489; bad or (as noun) evil (naturally or morally). This includes the second (feminine) form; as adjective or noun:   adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, + displease ( ure), distress, evil ([ favouredness], man, thing), + exceedingly, X great, grief ( vous), harm, heavy, hurt ( ful), ill (favoured), + mark, mischief, ( vous), misery, naught ( ty), noisome, + not please, sad ( ly), sore, sorrow, trouble, vex, wicked ( ly,  ness, one), worse ( st) wretchedness, wrong. [Including feminine ra’ah; as adjective or noun.]

[
Note: In verses Ecclesiastes 9:1 through 3, the word “evil” means something bad, or a calamity. That evil (bad) is the one thing that is common to all who live in the flesh, whether they are good or whether they are bad. They will all die. Their flesh will return to the dust.
]

Ecclesiastes 9:4  For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living H2416 dog is better than a dead H4191 lion.

H2416
חַי
chay
khah'ee
From H2421; alive; hence raw (flesh); fresh (plant, water, year), strong; also (as noun, especially in the feminine singular and masculine plural) life (or living thing), whether literally or figuratively:      + age, alive, appetite, (wild) beast, company, congregation, life ( time), live ( ly), living (creature, thing), maintenance, + merry, multitude, + (be) old, quick, raw, running, springing, troop.

H4191
מוּת
mûth
mooth
A primitive root; to die (literally or figuratively); causatively to kill:    X at all, X crying, (be) dead (body, man, one), (put to, worthy of) death, destroy ( er), (cause to, be like to, must) die, kill, necro [ mancer], X must needs, slay, X surely, X very suddenly, X in [no] wise.

[
Note: The reason that a living dog is better than a dead lion is that the dog still has a metabolism. It is still able to do things or make changes. In the sense of people, there is still time to make things right. There is still time to repent.
]

Ecclesiastes 9:5  For the living H2416 know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Ecclesiastes 9:6  Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

[
Note: Look at the definition of “living” in verse Ecclesiastes 9:5. It means flesh. The subject in Verse Ecclesiastes 9:5 is regarding that once someone dies, everything about their life is forgotten. But it is important to realize that the subject is the death of the one that lives under the sun. Who lives under the sun? It’s the flesh that lives under the sun. So, this is written to man in a flesh body. It’s the flesh that knows nothing after it is dead. It has nothing to do with the spirit that returns to The FATHER.
]

Ecclesiastes 11:9  Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

[
Note: Enjoy your life when you are young, but watch what you do. Because when the flesh dies, it is off the hook. It does not pay for anything that it caused your soul to do. You have to control your own flesh because it may be dead and gone, but you will pay the price for it’s behavior. You will be judged for what the flesh does (or did) while it is or was under the sun. But keep in mind that judgement isn’t always bad. You can be judged good, which means reward, or you can be judged bad, which means punishment.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:1  Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

[
Note: The evil days means the days when you are old, when there is no enjoyment of life as it was when you were young. Remember GOD when you are young so you will do better in life so that those days when you are old might be easier because of the Blessings that you receive.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:2  While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

[
Note: Verse Ecclesiastes 12:2 means while your eyes are still good. When you get old your eyesight fails you or is weak compared to when you were young.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:3  In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

[
Note: Your house is your flesh body. When you try to do something when you are old, your keepers (your bones, etc.) will tremble or your legs will shake. The strong men (meaning your frame, your backbone) will bow and you will stoop over. Your grinders are your teeth. They are few because you have lost most of them. There is not much to chew with. The eyes that look out of the windows be darkened means you don’t see as well as you did before.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:4  And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of musick shall be brought low;

[
Note: The doors being shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low means that your mouth will be mostly closed as you are gumming your food. There are few teeth left. Rising up at the voice of the bird means that you don’t sleep so well anymore. The daughters of music shall be brought low means your hearing is not very good anymore.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:5  Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

[
Note: When you are old, as you walk, you will not be as stable as you were when you were young, so you will be afraid of high places. You will fear to fall. Not like you were when you were young. An almond tree turns gray. This means that your hair will turn gray. The grasshopper being a burden means that you will not be able to hardly carry anything around (even as small as a grasshopper). The desires of your younger days will disappear and you will go to the long home, meaning to the casket that you are buried in. The mourners in the streets means your funeral procession.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:6  Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

[
Note: The silver cord is life. The golden bowl, pitcher, and the wheel broken at the cistern are all things made of clay. It means that the flesh life ends and the clay body goes back to the dust.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:7  Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

[
Note: When the flesh (clay) body dies, then the spirit will return to The FATHER who gave it. So, whether it happens when your flesh dies or when JESUS returns and we are all changed into our spirit bodies as written in 1st Corinthians chapter fifteen, to be absent from the flesh body is to be present with The LORD.

When we are present with The LORD, that is when we are in our spirit bodies. The spirit body is much stronger, younger, and perfect health compared to our flesh body and any age. It would be wise to keep in mind that this flesh is vain, so don’t let it make you pay for everything it did when you were using it to cart yourself around under the sun. It will be long gone and leave you high and dry to pay for everything that it did. Remember Lazarus and the rich man; what side of the gulf do you wish to be on? You control what your flesh does. When it wants something that is improper or unrighteous, tell it to sit down and shut up. You are it’s boss, it is not your boss.
]

Ecclesiastes 12:8  Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

[
Note: The flesh is but a whisper or shadow in time, but what it can make you pay for could last a very long time. Keep your desires proper and righteous. Don’t let your flesh program you or talk you into doing improper things.
]

2 Corinthians 5:6  Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

2 Corinthians 5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

2 Corinthians 5:8  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

[
Note: So, since we are present with The LORD when we are absent from this flesh body, then it makes it easy to see that GOD is not the GOD of the dead, but of the living.
]

2 Corinthians 5:9  Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

2 Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

[
Note and Conclusion: No one in the flesh or that has been in the flesh will die until after THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT. There is no period of time in which the conscious mind is not fully active and focused after the flesh dies. The only way that the conscious mind will cease is if someone must walk into the lake of fire at JUDGMENT.
