What Kind Of MAN Is GOD?
What Kind Of MAN Is GOD?
Saturday, August 20, 2022
Okay, Everybody! Can someone answer these three questions?

1. What kind of Man is GOD?

2. What kind of man is Gabriel, the archangel?

3. And yuck! What kind of man is the devil?

The reasoning behind these questions is to show that oftentimes when people read Scriptures, that they have a preconceived image in mind regarding who we are, and WHO GOD is, and who are those that are called angels. Because of this preconceived image, the subject and context of Scripture is often misunderstood or goes in one ear and out the other. First, let’s answer those three questions and then go a little deeper into some examples or the definition of what is a man.

Exodus 15:3  The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

With Strong’s definitions:

Exodus 15:3  The LORD H3068 is a man H376 of war: the LORD is his name.

H3068
יְהֹוָה
Yehôvâh
Yeh ho vaw'
From H1961; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God:  Jehovah, the Lord. Compare H3050, H3069.

H376
אִישׁ
'ı̂ysh
eesh
Contracted for H582 (or perhaps rather from an unused root meaning to be extant); a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation.) :  also, another, any (man), a certain, + champion, consent, each, every (one), fellow, [foot, husband] man, (good, great, mighty) man, he, high (degree), him (that is), husband, man [kind], + none, one, people, person, + steward, what (man) soever, whoso (ever), worthy. Compare H802.

Daniel 9:21  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

And henceforth, with Strong’s definitions:

Daniel 9:21  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man H376 Gabriel, H1403 whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

H1403
גַּבְרִיאֵל
gabrı̂y'êl
gab ree ale'
From H1397 and H410; man of God; Gabriel, an archangel:  Gabriel.

Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man H120 in our image, H6754 after our likeness: H1823 and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

H120
אָדָם
'âdâm
aw dawm'
From H119; ruddy, that is, a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.):  X another, + hypocrite, + common sort, X low, man (mean, of low degree), person.

H6754
צֶלֶם
tselem
tseh' lem
From an unused root meaning to shade; a phantom, that is, (figuratively) illusion, resemblance; hence a representative figure, especially an idol:  image, vain shew.

H1823
דְּמוּת
demûth
dem ooth'
From H1819; resemblance; concretely model, shape; adverbially like:  fashion, like (ness, as), manner, similitude.

As you can see from the information above, man, as flesh man, was created as a phantom of the Heavenly.

A phantom is a model or type of an original in whatever material the model takes. It’s an exact copy of an original, but in its specific makeup of material. We are phantoms of our original Heavenly selves. So, if we were made in the image of GOD, then GOD must look like a Man and the same must be true regarding angels. GOD looks like a Man, and angels look like men also. The difference is what the Heavenly is made of and what the earthly is made of. If you are familiar with Scripture, then you already know that the original is much better than the copy. Also, when you are reading Scripture, you must pay attention to what type of man is being referred to in each context. Sometimes, a man is referred to as a clay vessel. In this case the Scripture is referring to flesh man. The man that is made of the earth. Other times, man is simply referred to as a vessel (not a clay vessel); in this case the Scripture is likely referring to the original vessel that we are a copy of. That means man in a spiritual body rather than a clay body. Always check the definitions and the context. The Scripture may mean a man as a male person, or it may mean a man as a human being.

All too often, people have been programmed, or have programmed themselves to see the word “man” in Scripture and immediately associate it with a flesh being. But man is more than his material. Man is a character, a shape, a material, and a personality.

Job 38:1  Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 38:2  Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 38:3  Gird up now thy loins like a man; H1397 for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.

H1397
גֶּבֶר
geber
gheh' ber
From H1396; properly a valiant man or warrior; generally a person simply:  every one, man, X mighty.

Job was a type of GOD’S election. He lived his life righteously. Job was proper before the LORD. Job was Blessed by GOD, but GOD allowed Job to be tested by the devil. Job had three friends that would give him advice, but these three friends had no wisdom in The LORD. Their counsel was dark, and they gave thirty eight chapters of bad advice. Enough to wear Job down, but not enough to take him out. GOD knew what kind of man Job was, and Job stood true to GOD’S expectations of that character. That is when GOD stepped in and addressed Job. GOD’S first words to Job were, stand up and act like a man. The conversation that proceeded from that point has much knowledge and understanding that we should take serious today.

In other areas of Scripture, GOD makes reference to man in two different perspectives. One is man as a flesh being. The other is reference to man as what he was before becoming flesh. That is, the non clay vessel. We are the clay, and our FATHER is the POTTER. But what were we before we were formed in clay? That’s right, a man. But still, in a vessel in which our FATHER is our MAKER.

Although it is likely that only the election will see this, it does not mean that the election will see it right away. Sometimes it just needs to be pointed out. We need to slow down and absorb what we read. We need to put ourselves into these words.

Romans 9:9  For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
Romans 9:10  And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

Romans 9:11  (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
Romans 9:12  It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

Romans 9:13  As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Note:
There is a lot of knowledge in these verses. If you would like to gain an understanding of this knowledge, watch the video: “GOD Hates That Baby! Why?”. For this discussion, we will limit our notice of Scripture to seeing that there is more than one kind of vessel in which a man can possess. One vessel is the vessel that we are the phantom of, while the other is that formed by the POTTER for us to use as our vehicle for this flesh age. But be sure to watch that video. It shows you that, yes in deed, angels are men, GOD is a Man, and all these men that you see around you everyday are but mere phantoms of themselves. And these men are not always gender specific (male and female created HE them).

Genesis 1:27  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
]

Romans 9:14  What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Romans 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Romans 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Romans 9:17  For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Romans 9:18  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Romans 9:19  Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

Romans 9:20  Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Romans 9:21  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

[
Note:
Notice in verses 20 and 21 above that GOD is Speaking of a clay vessel. A vessel made of the dust of the ground.
]

Romans 9:22  What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Romans 9:23  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he *had afore prepared G4282  unto glory,

[
Note:
Keep in mind that the subject of this entire passage of Scripture is in context and requires no external reference to any other part of Scripture. Notice that GOD is referencing the state of one of two babies in the womb, as they are forming in their clay vessels. The state of that vessel being fit for destruction before forming in clay. What was that vessel before being in the womb? It was not clay. It was the form of the man before being formed in clay. But what that man did was endured by GOD with much patience before coming to this flesh age. Take notice also, that there were other vessels that were not fit for destruction before coming to this flesh age. In verse 23, there are vessels of mercy. Vessels that GOD afore prepared unto glory. Again, keep in mind that this reference is to the point in time before either of these babies were in the womb.

G4282
προετοιμάζω
proetoimazō
pro et oy mad' zo
From G4253 and G2090; to fit up in advance (literally or figuratively): ordain before, prepare afore.

Romans 9:24  Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Romans 9:25  As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
Romans 9:26  And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
Romans 9:27  Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:
Romans 9:28  For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
Romans 9:29  And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

So this story, HIStory, has a long past. A life each of us lived with consequences of actions before we were ever in flesh. A spirit, which is a personality of a being, or beings loved by their CREATOR, and doing all that can be done to save what HE created, and staying within the confines of righteousness and complete fairness in which there could be no other way for us to exist at all. So, when you read Scripture, always take notice of who we are, and who we were, and gird yourself. Stand up and act like a man. A man is righteous, and there is no other way (PATH). At least we have been given the chance to live HIS righteousness.

There is man in the Heavenly, and man in the earthly. One is in a spirit body, the other wears the veil. The veil is flesh. Both are men, but the one that wears the veil still has a chance. Without the veil, whatever it is, let it be, still.

Now finally, to answer the “yuck” question.

Here it is again, for reference:

What kind of man is the devil?

2 Thessalonians 2:1  Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 Thessalonians 2:2  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Thessalonians 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Perdition means “to perish”, to die. There is only one named son of GOD that is already sentenced to death, and that is the devil; satan himself.

Ezekiel 28:18  Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

The devil’s death sentence is to be turned to ashes from the inside out in front of all those who behold him.

Isaiah 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isaiah 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isaiah 14:15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isaiah 14:16  They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man H376 that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

H376
אִישׁ
'ı̂ysh

Isaiah 14:17  That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Isaiah 14:18  All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
Isaiah 14:19  But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

All of this because of one archangel that was full of pride. And because of the wicked selfish children that joined him in trying to take our FATHER’S THRONE.

So, as you study our FATHER’S WORD, keep in mind that there is more than one kind of man. Then stand up and gird yourself and put on The Whole Armor Of GOD.
